Customer Stories

The general standard for metallic inclusions is GB/T 10561, which provides clear classification of inclusions: Type A (sulfides), Type B (alumina), Type C (silicates), Type D (globular oxides), and Type DS (single-particle globular). These different inclusion types each have distinctive morphologies and characteristics. The Phenom ParticleX Steel inclusion system we use performs automated analysis and classification based on the SEM backscattered electron detector + EDS detector. It not only provides morphological and dimensional information for each particle, but also enables sub-classification according to chemical composition — offering greater confidence for complex inclusion analysis.
